Rates & Resources

Rates for Instrumentation Access and Associated Services

The Washington Clean Energy Testbeds is a nonprofit business unit within the University of Washington. We are mandated to charge for time and materials on a cost reimbursement basis. Academic pricing is achieved through UW and state grants and subsidies. Industrial rates are set for cost recovery. Cost basis for rates is based on cost of operation divided by utilization.

Off campus rates may apply for UW researchers. See the User Classification and Rates document for more details.

User Agreements and Orientation Materials

The Testbeds’ resources are available to all qualified users. Most users of the facility will be trained by experienced staff to perform their own experiments, but if you need an especially sensitive instrument or only have several samples, it may be more efficient to have the staff run the experiment for you.

We recommend contacting a staff member to discuss your work plan and our user agreements prior to starting the registration process
